By Me, Of Me
By Me,Of Me, is a mixed media painting where, as is my nature, I go with the flow.
I started to do free wrist drawing and the background paint and the white paint reacted in a manner i didn’t like. When I started to brush it up (to paint over and start again) I realized the the ensuing “happy accident” was really interesting. So I kept brushing each one over and over until the result was pleasing. I kept them separate like cloud cookies on a sheet. In the other half of the painting I was using a neutral palette , again using similar wrist movements. In the final touches there are five similar clouds in the composition. In that way , the painting is by me and “of me”.
