Calm and Silent

2026 - $2400
24” x 24” oil on board

This oil on board painting is part of the latest series that marks a return to oil paint and brushwork.

I find the caressing of the edges of the blocks of colour has a calming effect on the eye. You may notice that, in this series, there are common elements. The small white cloud is of spiritual need, a reminder that the sky is not falling today. The ladder image on the bottom of each is a reference to a recurring childhood dream and also a reminder that in life we ascend a ladder of accomplishment. There is also an X, Y, and Z to remind us that we live in a 3D world.
