Both Primitive and Sophisticated

This assemblage, or 3D mixed media, is about black and white and earth tones. In the photograph, the looping white paint in the background of the painting is echoed by the looping of the somewhat surprising barbed wire "vase". The primitive in the title refers to the Monkey Balls, 3 in the photo and a partial attached below. The sophisticated refers to the Ginori porcelain, two handled bowls, and also the partial Limoges plate near the bottom of the work. Two of the three paint tubes are about 100 years old. I think that the split background has a day/night feel that completes the story of this one.
