Reposed is a complex title for a complex painting that seems simple at first glance. This painting was recently revised when the question of it’s merits came up. It was originally called  Inaugeration and Apprehension because it was painted on the day of Trump’s Inaugeration. Since he has gone, Thankfully, I reposed the question of the title’s validity. Then I cut the figurative monoprint to fit into the painting, thus reposing the figure.  The broken line, which is unusual for me signifies the broken rules that define Trump’s reign. This particular painting has it’s own history as it has been painted and repainted several times. I really like this one. It is acrylic, oil and collage

Reposed, 41 x 49, 2021, mixed media on canvas.  $4500.
