Lion draws upon my deep appreciation for African art. The primitiveness also was what drew Picasso and Matisse among others to the art from Africa. This almost symmetrical layout gives us a very quiet lion, contemplative almost. Welded and painted steel with a stone base. 98″ x 26.5″ x 8″ (not including stone slab), 2018. $4000.
