Mask is a continuation of my investigation into the responses that we have when absorbing  primitive images. Like Picasso and Matisse I have always been drawn to african art and masks. I like the lines , that recall drawn lines executed in this case in painted welded steel. The black and white split draws attention to the curves in the nose. I like the addition of the black collar separating the face from the breasts.
